Good Wood old boy…..
Posted by Ray on 18 Aug 2010 / 0 Comment

Here is our latest little film, it’s of a piece of furniture the very talented Mr. Newbold made for us a few years ago when we used those funny things called CD’s, at the moment I am trying to give myself projects to film and Tims table made a very good subject.

For the anoraks out there we have just bought the all singing and dancing  Adobe Creative Suite CS5 Master Collection from a company that are doing software very cheap, in fact their address is www.buyitultracheay.com always happy to spread a good word.

Anyway hope you like it.

Well this is where the plane took me not very far I know but a couple of light years, as in London rush&tear and Northumberland even more rush&tear, no only joking. Good to be back shooting the end of  RE’s latest collection. So all you magazine pic desks get on the phone cos they have lots of new interesting things for your magazine pages.

art director

Have also had some time for filming,  Jenny and Simon are very interested in putting video onto their site in the near future, so what we are shooting over the next 3 days will be a good sample for all of us. Watch the blog for a trailer coming soon..

Wood by the sea
Posted by Ray on 10 Aug 2010 / 0 Comment

I seem to have gone to the seaside quite a bit this year but never spent a minute on the beach.

This coastal shoot was very calm and natural, the guy is an artist and works with wood, you could really tell he loved the stuff, just having and coveting it was good enough, but he went on to make calm peaceful works with it, which I liked. Great colour palette to the house other than the odd kids room, but kids have to have their stuff too.

No filming today as I’m off to catch a plane….

Cheshire calling
Posted by Ray on 04 Aug 2010 / 0 Comment

Working in Cheshire today, very colourful house, with a nice team of girls that make all manor of cushions. Also gave me  my 1st chance to try out my moving image work on a editorial shoot, I think before very long we as in photographers will be contubuting still and moving images as the lines between magazine and iPad and the moving image all blur into one. this little shot of Mary is for my good friend Simon that so what of a obsession with religious iconography. All this gave me a good reason to stay with Angie’s sisters who live in Cheshire and have a family meal which we don’t do enough and was very good, I have shot Angie’s bother-in -law (R0wland) allotment earlier in the year must post a couple of shots, anyone fancy a allotment book.

My 1st video post….
Posted by Ray on 01 Aug 2010 / 0 Comment

Well I did say a while back about posting my adventures into HD DSLR well here is my 1st go. I am loving shooting video with the Canon just cant believe how good the finished product looks, really got the bug and I am full of passion for it. My assistant has got the bit between his teeth for the post-production side, god bless you Liam. It just happens that this small bit of film was shot on the same shoot as todays Sunday Times Style magazine piece about Daniel Chadwick home.

so read it and then see it move……

hope you enjoy both.
