Wherever I have gone around the world beaches always have beach dogs, normally associated with beach restaurants, that seem to have some sort of loose deal where the dogs keep the vermin down and the restaurants feed them scraps, well that’s my take on it. Our beached here are no different and over the years we have built up quite a few relationships with a number of the dogs on the beach, we find them very friendly, my move from the shade of one sun bed to another and are always ready for a fuss. So it came as a shock to see in the local paper that a few tourist had bitten by the dogs and now the local council wish to clear the beach of them. So I thought I would do my bit for the beach boys (that’s what we call the dogs) and do them some good PR shots, I hope you like them.
long live the beach dogs….say i for one.
Garden are always a nice surprise, you shoot them, sometimes a year or so a head because of flowering times and then one day you open a mag and there it is. Then you start to look at it as the wonderful place it is and because at the time of shoot your head is full of photographic technical things that never really let you see your images for what they really are.
I had the pleasure of spending 3 days on Colonsay and this is the 1st shoot to be publish.
You can see more of my work of Colonsay all of which is 1st world rights at the moment, so if you see something you like please get in contact. ray@raymain.co.uk
